SEMI-DETACHED HOUSE

This was a personal project that I decided to do to practise my texturing and lighting skills. Using my own house as reference I modelled the house in Autodesk Maya, being sure to keep the poly count as low as possible. Once the model was constructed I UV unwrapped the various meshes and began texturing using Photoshop. Since the model was based around my home I was able to get out and take some high quality pictures of various materials I would need. Once textured, a simple lighting rig was set up and the scene was rendered using Mental Ray. The scene was then composited using Adobe Photoshop CC.

ASSUALT RIFLE PROJECT

This was my first attempt at creating a game ready gun using low poly techniques, creating my own normal maps, and texturing using Quixel suite 2.0.

I began by creating a high poly mesh to build the low poly mesh around. Once I had completed the low poly mesh I UV unwrapped it and exported it into Quixel suite. I then used Quixel suite to create the normals and apply the materials. The final images were then rendered using Quixel suites 3DO render primer.
